Sameer Kumar has been playing games since 1990 when he received a Commodore 64 for Christmas. He has completed hundreds of games on most consoles giving an invaluable insight into the world of gaming. He began making games in 2007 and since has been employed in the games industry.

Sameer has a Higher Certificate (Honours) in Electronics and Computer Engineering (Class 2.1), from the Athlone Institute of Technology, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. He then completed a Bachelors of Engineering (Honours) in Digital Media Engineering (Class 2.2), from Dublin City University, Co. Dublin, Ireland. In June 2008, he completed the Post Graduate Diploma (Honours) in Computer Games Technology (Class 2.1) from the University of Abertay, Dundee, Scotland.

He has a broad skill-set and his college and professional projects have covered the following technologies to some degree:

C / C++ / C# / DirectX / Java / Flash / PHP / XML / HLSL / HTML / CSS / LUA / Game Design

Sameer is also a Tennis Ireland Level 1 Coach and an ITF Level 1 Tennis Umpire. He has over 9 years full and part time experience teaching children and adults.

He is a sports enthusiast who enjoys tennis, soccer, snow-boarding and table tennis. He was captain of his school tennis team and qualified to compete in the Irish Nationals whilst U16 and U18. He has won many inter county tennis tournaments. He has travelled extensively throughout Europe and beyond. Sameer planned and financed summer trips during 2003, 2004, 2005 and lived in Scotland and Italy which has given him an appreciation of other cultures.

Sameer is currently contracting on a part time basis for several software companies and is available for new projects. He is actively looking for a full-time position in Game Programming, Game Design or Game Testing.
